The Assac Networks Assac Dialer is a secure VoIP application designed for enterprise use, functioning as a licensed PBX extension for making and receiving internal extension calls as well as PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) calls.

Upon installation, users should activate their license via the provided link, which is typically supplied by the IT administrator or group manager. License management is handled through the ManageiT Dashboard, allowing centralized control over deployment and permissions.

The Assac Dialer enables outbound and inbound calls to and from the PSTN through a telecommunication gateway integrated with the system. This setup facilitates seamless connectivity with traditional telephone networks.

Security features include SRTP over TLS encryption, ensuring that the communication link between the Assac Dialer and the CryptoSwitch server remains protected against potential eavesdropping or tampering.

As an extension of a corporate PBX, the application supports calling other extensions within the organization and participates in conference calls. The app activates automatically when receiving an incoming call from another Assac Dialer or upon user initiation. When idle, the application remains dormant, conserving battery life and system resources.

The Assac Dialer also offers integration with the user's smartphone contacts, allowing calls to be initiated directly from the contact book managed within the device. This feature simplifies dialing by avoiding the need to memorize phone numbers. Usage of this contact synchronization is optional and controlled by user preferences.

Overall, the Assac Dialer provides a secure and efficient communication channel for enterprise environments, emphasizing privacy and resource optimization during periods of inactivity.
